yeah! i'm back to blogging again.
here's an update on what i've done since the end of exams.
watched Phantom of the Opera with my mum and brother. it was very impressive! i loved the set design. the proscenium arch was done exquisitely. waaaa. the only thing that bothered me was the way in which the chandelier crashed. i thought it was a little too slow; not convincing enough to produce an effect of a crash. have no complains other than that. no regrets watching it. but i would love to have seats nearer the stage. haha.
went to the zoo with some of my og mates. had tremendous amount of fun there. loved the otters and Carlos the Seal. they were soooo cute! with amily with us, taking lame pictures of ourselves was inevitable. WAHAHAHAHA. =X
went out with my secondary school mate, harvard. haven’t met in agesssss. ate at Botak Jones, AMK. made many detours before we could find the place. *faints* learnt how to read the map. wOohOo! had Botak Burger. burger’s small but definitely filling as the beef patty was thick and huge. hahaha. fries were too much!!! nearly died eating them. -_- visited AMK shopping centre. The bus interchange was coOl! waiting area was air-coned and the air was free of exhaust smoke. waaaaa.
Was involved in Lions Befriender. was an eye opener for me. was talking to a 93-year old. Said that living is worse than dying. that was rather pessimistic of him but i could not blame him for that. he's no longer able; having live out for so long and forced to be reliant on other people to fulfil daily needs can be antagonising. but no matter what, i hope he could live his days happily.
met the girls after that. as usual, i was the one doing the listening while they shared their experiences. they haven't changed one bit i guess. zoe is actively participating in camps. by the time i wrote this, tk would already be many miles away from SG. she is in the US now, visiting her sister i think. cy is currently working and waiting for entry into university. sheila's looking for job but still looks as busy as ever. haha. junie is coping well, still looking as radiant as ever, having a happy life i guess. Oh ya, both she and tk are attached already. congrats!
kinda envy everyone; they seemed to be leading very happy and fulfilling lives. i feel so small compared to them; feel so unaccomplished. hai~
went to the Skin Centre to see the doctor. it was damn costly. only spent 10 minutes on consultation and it costed me $74.60, excluding medication. didn't even offer me useful advice. DAMNS. wasted money and wasted time. still have to go for follow ups. ARGHS.
was an emcee for NUSSD meeting. my YMD counterpart came late so i was on my own for the whole meeting. sooooooo scaryyyyyy! but it was a valuable experience for me. it was the first time i dared to face a crowd of people. ALONE. and i did not blush! wahahaha. i'm so proud of myself. =) I LOVE THE STAGE! i hope one day i will have the courage and do a good job in making the stage my own. and i donated blood that day! it was my 3rd time but the pre-donation jitters was still there. haha. DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES. =)
NUSSD had a BBQ session 2 days ago at ECP. together with ShanShan, RuiXiang and DeRui, we formed the food comm. the world has really changed. hahaha. girls can't cook nowadays. =X
the guys did an excellent job preparing the food while the two of us did our share clumsily. wahaha. learnt quite a number of things. like the sotong's bone actually looks like a piece of plastic (i know i'm sua gu). the guys tried to con us by saying that the sotong had a diet of plastic. -_-" SO LAME. had tremendous fun there. was Satay Mei. wahaha. ShanShan was Food Tester. Yan Guang was Chef, then self-promoted to Supervisor. Philip was BBq-Chicken Boy. Gerard was Satay Boy who later became Otah Boy after YG decided to bbq alllll the satay, thus retrenching both of us. haha. made alot of friends there but still.. can't find someone there good enough to be close friends. yet.
have officially started Salsa after a year of procrastinating. haha. had my 2nd lesson last Friday. confusing but fun. love the instructors, love what i'm learning. hope i'm able to tone myself up through dance lessons. the people there.. aren't really friendly. haha. my friend and i are the youngest there. generation gap i think. nothing to talk about. haha. すきじゃない!!! >.<
have also started training for work at Fish and Co. it would be my 4th day of training later in the evening. there are soooo many things to remember and i have to learn real quick and be super flexible. it will be a challenge for me since i'm new in this line plus i'm a blurrrr and slow person. got to know a few people and hope to establish rapport with them asap, otherwise work will be boring and become a chore instead.
